Jami Bestgen from St. Cloud, Minnesota is the winner of our Golf Makeover Y2K10 contest. Jami's winning essay said, "The assessments and regularly scheduled lessons would be an effective mechanism to take my game to the next level. I am already an enthusiastic student of yours and have shown outstanding improvement under your instruction.... My goal this summer is to be competitive in the Championship flight of my club championship (generally, I do not play well enough to be in the last group for the second round). To achieve this goal I need to stay on task with practice and improvement all summer long. The structure of this experience is exactly what I need to stay committed to the practice and improvement component required to maintain consistency through the summer."
Jami will receive the following:
• Full Swing Assessment
• Short Game Assessment
• Putting Assessment
• Club Performance Evaluation
• A set of Callaway woods and irons

Aim Point Green Reading Clinics With Mark Sweeney
Saturday June 12, 2010
Be a master green-reader. The AimPoint Green Reading Method is the most effective way to read greens ever developed and will teach you exactly why and how a putt breaks. Never guess at direction or amount of break again.
The number on reason why players of all levels of skills miss putts is miscalculation of green reading. The failure to play the correct amount of break leads to the inability to commit to the line and the speed of the putt.
The AimPoint Green-Reading method will teach:
• The 3 primary green shapes and how they affect the break of the putt.
• Exactly how much break to play for any putt within 20 feet of the hole.
• How break changes as green speed changes.
• How to estimate break very accurately using fall lines and drainage areas.
• How to find the Zero Lines.
• Eye and putter face alignment.
• Understanding green architecture and its implications on putting.
• Aiming and alignment.
• Optical illusions and slope perception.
• Common green-reading misconceptions and mistakes.
Mark Sweeney is the inventor of the Emmy-Award winning AimPoint Putting Line seen on the Golf Channel. Learn what the top instructors and players are learning-that putting is highly predictable and that anyone can learn to read greens like the pros.
